  1.
I am working on a group presentation and I wondered if there is a way to link or join two voicethread together. Or is there a collaborative feature where more than one person can upload and image to the same voicethread?
  2.
I, too, am interested in having VTs that are interlinked.

Is there a way to have a VT (titled Introduction to Transition Initiative) link to a VT (titled Family Leadership) and to another VT (titled Continuous Improvement), etc.?

Context: We are working on a "package" of resources and information that will start on our webpage, but link out to a Dipity timeline which will have links to the individual VTs. Because the VTs are topic specific, we'd like them to be independent from each other, but it would be nice if the VTs could be linked so that someone who wants to hear the initiative just from VTs, she could bop around the VTs in any order. (Does that even make sense to someone who is not in my head???)
  3.
I see that we are able to now link to other VTs. A few questions:

    1. how do I edit a link I have viewed the VT? I had an error and want to fix it, but haven't found how to access it again for editing.
    2. can I link more than 1 VT to another (so people can approach viewing a number of VTs like a spider web rather than a daisy chain)? Perhaps in the final slide. (I saw in another posting that Kevin Jarrett was able to put a link on several VT pages, how did he do this?)

And an observation: the link is only showing up at the bottom of the first page briefing when I backpage to it...not when I first play it.
  4.
I have a work around for my idea of having multiple options for the next VT someone visits...I can put the VT links into a ppt: type in the title of the VT and then insert a hyperlink with the VT URL. I can make as many or few links as I need/want.

This will work for the interim, but if I could figure out how to do what Kevin did, that would be fantastic!

    Hi Courtney,

We currently don't have a feature that allows people to add slides to voicethreads that other members have created. It's definitely on our wish list, though. :-)

    Susan,

Here are some answers to your questions:

    1) I'm not sure what you mean here, would you be willing to link to the voicethread to illustrate? Generally, if you want to edit a voicethread that you created, you can follow these steps:

    a) Go to "MyVoice"
    b) On the image representing the desired voicethread, click the gear icon in the lower right corner
    c) Click "edit"

You can also see the "edit" link if you click the gear on the top left of the summary/ending page of a voicethread that you created.

    2) You might try using a tag for the group of voicethreads that you want people to view.

    a) enter the "edit" page for your voicethread, which is the same page that you see when you've created/added slides to a voicethread.
    b) Click on the title of the voicethread, or "Add a title and description" if there isn't a title yet.
    c) At the bottom, enter a word that you'll remember or words that represent the subject/material in the voicethread--separate words with commas.
    d) When you enter your tag into the search field at the top of your MyVoice page, the voicethreads with that tag will appear. The same will be true if you enter the tag into the "browse" tab, but all voicethreads on the entire site, with that tag, will appear. So the more unique the tag, the less likely you'll see other people's projects when you search for it. :-)
    e) If you invite people to view the voicethread, they can add the voicethread to their own MyVoice page by clicking on the gear in the top left corner of the voicethread and selecting "subscribe," or by choosing "add to MyVoice page" on the last page.

I've replied with instructions for entering a title and/or link to a voicethread's slides here: http://voicethread.com/help/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=36&page=1#Item_6

    Hope this helps! :-)

Ditto for the need to be able to combine different voicethreads. I really, really, really could use this feature.
