What does it mean to be a member of a Higher Ed Organization?

Administrator (Pro account)

The Administrator is the Pro user who has administrative control over the license. There can be as many Administrators as you'd like. Administrators create, manage, remove, and delete Basic and other Pro accounts. To download a Higher Ed Manager Guide that explains all of these tasks, please click here.

Other Administrators can manage these accounts, meaning they can view and change the name, email address, and Identity of other Pro users. They can also reset the password for these accounts.

Instructor (Pro account)

Pro users who are not Administrators do not have access to the Manager. They can still create Groups for their students, but they do not manage the students' accounts. To download a Higher Ed Instructor Guide, please click here.

Student (Basic account)

Basic accounts are managed by the Administrators for the VoiceThread Organization. They allow students to easily create and share content with each other. To download a Higher Ed Student Guide, please click here.
